And How The Reindeer Loved Her

by on December 15, 2012

This story was written for Trifecta’s weekend prompt. They asked for 33 words to make them laugh or smile. I tried. 🙂

“Nicky, Rudy has the flu. You’ll have to take Barbara.”

“But she’s…

Little Susie sat up in bed, her eyes wide. She had expected the jingle bells. She had not expected a moo.

lmao At least Santa will always have milk for his cookies xD

    • True. On the other hand, those rooftop landings might be significantly more problematic. You’ve got your reindeer prancing and pawing around, and then, suddenly, WHAM. Cow.

  2. Now that makes me laugh! 😀

  3. Oh this is good!

  4. And cowbells! Cute and funny.

  5. hehe. Cute!

  6. Cookies and milk and … hay?!

    • I’d think people may just stick to the cookies and milk; after all, no one leaves stuff out for the reindeer, you might as well not leave it out for the cow.

  7. Funny! A flying cow does seem strange…not sure why a flying reindeer is more acceptable, though 🙂

  8. Cows have a history of jumping over the moon. So, why not?

    • True. Frodo Baggins even had a song about it in the Lord of the Rings. Perfectly acceptable!

    Hahaha! That’s awesome!

  10. You succeeded, buddy!

  11. MOooooooooooooo!!! 🙂

  12. I often find myself wishing Santa Claus could get some angry flying hippopotami or something to pull his sleigh, the reindeer are old news. Cows are good too, though.

    • A hippopotami-pulled sleigh would be a very impressive thing indeed. Might be a little rough on the ol’ rooftops, though.

  13. This is funny! The fact that it’s about reindeer is rather… mind-takeover, though. After writing 9 straight days for BlogFestivus, and seeing them in a whole new light…

Honestly, makes this not so farfetched.
