Simba’s Down There!

by on December 22, 2012

The Trifecta challenge this weekend was to give a pithy summary of my feelings about the holidays, in 33 words. As it happens, what with finals and all I put off buying presents for family and friends till today. Not a good move. Thusly, this poem. Enjoy. And Merry Christmas. 🙂

Christmas shopping at the mall.

Not unlike the stampede in The Lion King.

Fewer wildebeests. Cheerier music.

My holiday cheer’s gone like Mufasa after an hour.

Fortunately, Christmas morning makes up for it.
