Amusement

by on January 23, 2013

In law school, as in life, one can find humor in the most surprising of places. For example, you would not expect Federal Rule of Evidence 801 (a)-(c) to be a subject of merriment, and under normal circumstances you would be right. Hearsay is not a topic infused with comedy. But, as I was studying for my class today, I ran across a particular case. The case title, after the usual name and citation, read: “Onion, Presiding Judge”.  The first line of the case: “This is an appeal….”

I laughed for thirty minutes straight. To think that somewhere, in our great land, there exists a Judge Onion who sits on a Court of Appeals. I love America. 🙂

    Yeah, that was lame…but I couldn’t resist!
