Law school finals are approaching. The emotional impact of this is akin to Katara’s opening monologue in Avatar: the Last Airbender. Long ago, we law students lived together in peace and harmony….THEN EVERYTHING CHANGED WHEN THE FIRE NATION ATTACKED.  The Fire Nation being finals. To demonstrate the effect this is having on our sanity, I present to you a short selection from a draft of the legal history paper I’m writing on the Third Amendment.

” Curiously, New York’s state constitution lacks a quartering prohibition or a standing army limitation or the military’s subordination to the civil power.”

It has a kind of rhythm, doesn’t it? Not unlike Professor X’s mutation patter in X-Men First Class. The Third Amendment, yo. Word.
