The Peril of Silence

by on June 10, 2015

Supervillains monologued. The capes all knew this, and even enjoyed the scenery-chewing speeches. Shapeshifter Scarlett rewrote one as a musical, The World Will Be Mine!, to rave reviews.

Winter Banshee was smarter, and quieter. No one noticed him. Then, the Moon exploded.

  1. The moon is getting all kinds of abuse in your microstories of late. 😉

  2. Nice! I’ve always wondered about supervillains’ penchant for monologues…

    • I’ve been wondering about that ever since Frozone in The Incredibles named the practice and discussed it. I suppose it’s about presentation? A classic supervillain knows they’re always going to lose to Captain Fantastic or whoever, so if you’re going to go, you might as well go with style.
